Accessible Stock Analysis for Everyone
Stoxly is built so that blind, low-vision, color-blind and keyboard-only investors can research stocks and ETFs independently.
Our commitment
Investing research shouldn't require perfect eyesight or a mouse. Stoxly aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA across the stock analysis tool, the ETF analyzer, the blog and the free calculators. Accessibility is checked as part of development, not bolted on afterwards.
What that means in practice
- Screen reader support: every analysis result is real, structured text — headings, labels and status chips like “Criteria met” or “Not met” are announced by screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA and JAWS. Scores and verdicts are never image-only.
- Not color-dependent: pass/fail results always combine color with an icon and a text label, so red/green color blindness never hides a verdict. Price changes carry explicit +/− signs.
- WCAG AA color contrast: text and interactive elements meet the 4.5:1 (normal text) and 3:1 (large text and graphics) contrast ratios.
- Keyboard navigation: search, metric explanations (info tooltips), chart range switches and all forms work without a mouse.
- Reduced motion: every animation on the site respects your system's “reduce motion” setting.
- Works without JavaScript: analysis pages are rendered on the server, so the full result is readable even when scripts fail or are disabled.
- Semantic structure: proper heading hierarchy, labelled form fields and alt text on images throughout.
Why we do this
Traditional stock research means digging through dense PDFs, small-print financial tables and chart-heavy dashboards — some of the least accessible content on the web. Stoxly condenses a company's fundamentals into ten clearly labelled checks with plain-English explanations, which makes it a practical way for blind and low-vision investors to research a stock before buying without sighted assistance.
Known limitations
The interactive price chart is a visual enhancement; its key figures (period performance, high and low) are provided as text alongside it. If you find anything on Stoxly that does not work with your assistive technology, we want to know.
Feedback
If you hit a barrier anywhere on Stoxly, please tell us via the contact form and mention the page and the assistive technology you use. Accessibility reports are treated as bugs and prioritized accordingly.
