- Supply issued — at least 50% of max supply (uncapped = not scored)

- Developer activity — commits in the last 4 weeks

- Annualized volatility — below 80%
- 1-year return — positive
- 3-year annualized return — positive

How does Stoxly analyze a cryptocurrency?+
Stoxly checks ten crypto-specific criteria — market cap, market cap rank, 24h volume relative to market cap, exchange coverage, issued supply, project age, developer activity, annualized volatility and 1- and 3-year returns. Each criterion that passes adds one point, giving a score out of 10 and a descriptive verdict.
Why not use P/E ratios and earnings for crypto?+
Most crypto-assets have no revenue, earnings or balance sheet, so classic valuation ratios do not apply. Stoxly uses the market, supply and network data that does exist — liquidity, dilution, maturity, developer activity and price behaviour — to give a structured first read.
Which coins can I analyze?+
Any coin or token listed on CoinGecko or CoinPaprika — from Bitcoin and Ethereum to smaller altcoins. Search by ticker (BTC, SOL) or project name (Ethereum, Cardano). Performance metrics require price history on Yahoo Finance, which covers the larger assets.
Where does the crypto data come from?+
Market, supply and developer data comes from CoinGecko with CoinPaprika as fallback; prices and the multi-year history behind volatility, returns and drawdown come from Yahoo Finance. Missing data is shown as N/A and never scored.
Is the crypto score investment advice?+
No. The score and verdict are educational and describe measurable properties of an asset. Crypto-assets are highly volatile and many are not regulated; you can lose your entire investment. Always do your own research and consult a qualified advisor.
